Latrice Gillis, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides psychiatric care to patients ages 17 and older. Latrice earned her Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from D’Youville College. She brings extensive clinical experience to her psychiatric practice, including 20 years of experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, where she also served as a Charge Nurse. Her background in emergency medicine has provided her with significant experience caring for patients with complex medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health needs.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Latrice also has experience providing psychiatric care in the inpatient setting. She offers comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, ongoing psychiatric follow-up, and brief supportive psychotherapy. Latrice provides treatment for a broad range of mental health conditions, including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), other trauma-related disorders, panic disorder, insomnia, and other psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
Her approach to treatment is holistic and patient-centered. Latrice believes in treating the individual as a whole and works collaboratively with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan that considers psychiatric symptoms, overall health, life circumstances, and personal treatment goals.
