What is a psychiatric evaluation?

Your first visit is your psychiatric evaluation, you should complete your new patient packet prior to the visit, bring your copay, insurance card, photo ID, and arrive 15 minutes early.   The visit will be approximately one hour long.   We offer New Patient appointments via in person and clinician dependent some via telepsychiatry.   Your provider will ask you questions about your current symptoms, history, medical history, family history, social history, and formulate a diagnosis and initiate a treatment plan.   Some treatment plans may consist of medication management, while others may consist of psychotherapy and medication management.
